Shade that actually works in an Oklahoma summer
A pergola only earns its cost if it shades the space during the hours you use it. We run the sun angles for your specific orientation before drawing anything, then set rafter depth, spacing, and direction to that — which is why two identical-looking pergolas can perform completely differently at 6pm in July.
If you want usable shade at midday and open sky in October, a motorized louvered roof is the only version that does both. If you mostly host in the evening, cedar at the right spacing gets you there for far less.
Engineering, not just carpentry
Oklahoma wind is the reason cheap pergolas end up in the neighbor's yard. Failure is almost always uplift at the post base or an under-sized footing in clay, not the beams themselves. Our estimates itemize footing size, post base hardware, and connection detail so you can compare bids on the part that matters.
Anything with electrical, gas, or an attachment to the house also gets permitted and inspected. We handle that paperwork, including HOA architectural review.
